When you send photos or schedule an estimate, the request goes through Plenum, our estimating system, and an estimator follows up. The job photos on this site are from our installs.
Where the prices come from
The price ranges come from our recent estimates in the Denver area. Each range leaves out the cheapest quarter and the most expensive quarter of those estimates, so half of them land inside it. The ranges for a heat pump with a new gas furnace and for a ducted heat pump follow our current pricing instead. Out-of-pocket figures are what most Xcel gas customers in the Denver metro have paid since October 1, 2026, after every rebate. Prices are before rebates. Income-qualified jobs with very large rebates are left out, and so are equipment lines we haven't installed often enough to price. We show ranges and percentages, never job counts.
Rebates change, sometimes in the middle of the year. On October 1, 2026, Xcel Energy lowered its heat pump bonus for homes heated with Xcel gas. Check current amounts before you compare prices.
The walkthrough
The nine steps follow standard practice for installing a split-system heat pump, from the load calculation to the handover. The "What we do" line on each step comes from our published terms, mainly what every install includes and the Quality Installation Guarantee.
